One must be a state licensed plumber, have a state licensed plumbing contractor license in the state of Illinois, and also have a C.C.C.D.I. License. NOT ALL plumbers are insured, and licensed to test these devices. Only a plumbing contractor that meets the above requirements can legally test a backflow device in the state of Illinois and Chicago. Don't be fooled by some companies who charge for the price of a licensed plumber but are sending out unlicensed persons.
